ADVOCACY & POLICY

We actively engage in shaping meaningful legislative changes for our community. We am deeply committed to fostering positive change through advocacy, focusing on issues that impact our daily lives.

HOUSE BILL 1723

One significant initiative we have supported is Missouri House Bill 1723. This legislation aims to prohibit a person or entity from claiming to perform or offering to perform Dialectical Behavior Therapy unless certified by the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Linehan Board of Certification or any other entity approved by the Department of Commerce and Insurance to certify providers. We provided in-person testimony to the health committee, providing recommendations and language for informed best practices.

GET INVOLVED

Policy and advocacy work are vital because they directly influence the laws that shape our future. Through our efforts, we aim to work to ensure access to quality DBT services.
